Greetings, brothers and sisters. This is Dr. James Perry continuing with our series where we seek to explore the deeper meanings of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the years, the heavenly Father has revealed many revelations of spiritual truth to me, and I want to share them with you. Today, we ponder our lives as we ponder the invitation to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
And now, sit back and listen to today's message.
The Invitation
Jesus said," Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation, Chapter 3, Verse 28.
Brothers and sisters, in today’s broadcast, we share the welcome invitation, extended to one we hope will abandon his evil ways, and enter the Kingdom of heaven. Jesus said, “...I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. And when the repentant sinner enters the kingdom of heaven, there is to be found, “ righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. So today brothers and sisters, if there is one or two out there who are desirous of taking off the heavy chains of evil or casting off the overcoat of sin, we have one with us who extends this invitation to you on behalf of the Lord Jesus.
The spirit of Jesus, the Spirit of Truth is present, but speaking on his behalf is one who welcomes you into the Kingdom of heaven not as servants but as sons and daughters of the heavenly Father who serve each other. This mighty representative of the Father though his Son, Jesus has dedicated his life to feeding the flock of believers with good nourishing food of truth so that they may grow strong in faith, and mighty in spirit. We are delighted to have one who has dedicated his life to comforting those who are bereaved, to supporting those who are weak, and to giving hope to those who live in despair.
We are grateful to have this representative of the Lord Jesus who has dedicated his life to removing the storm clouds of doubt, pride, envy, jealousy, strife, hatred, bigotry, prejudice, and all kinds of wickedness and ungodliness from the souls of the flock. He has told us many times, that these evil influences obscure the bright light of the Father's love, and compel the believer to walk by a dim light. And we all know that if we walk by a dim light, we will surely fall in the ditch of darkness.
We are honored to have this representative of the Lord Jesus with us tonight, a mighty voice crying out in the wilderness of evil and sin, calling the sinner to come in from the cold of the winter night of darkness; one who has dedicated his life to revealing the love of the Father, the mercy of the Son, and the ministry of the Spirit. So brothers and sisters, without further introduction, let us enjoy the welcome address from one who brings us a word from the Lord Jesus:
“Brothers and sisters in the spirit, today, I want to welcome you into the kingdom of heaven. I know that for many of you it has been a struggle of monumental proportions to have reached this point. I know that for many you, you know the truth of that saying, “that it is easier to for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a sinner to be saved.” The intoxicating lure of evil and sin, is no small thing to throw off. I know that many of you not wanting to enter the realm of faith, have tried to get rid of these impediments to true happiness, joy, peace and righteousness through your own power, and have failed again and again. And no wonder brothers and sisters, that you failed, for there is only one name under heaven that men can be saved, and that is Jesus. And for those of you out there wondering why you need to be saved. Let me put this question to you: “What is a man profited, if shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
“Brothers and sisters, you must realize by now that you are mortal. You must realize by now that flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of heaven where there is peace, joy, and righteousness in the spirit. You don’t have the power to save your own soul, for no one comes to the Father without going through the Son. All who find the Father, find the Son, first. It is the Son who gives eternal life to all who will accept him. So brothers and sisters, do you not realize what is being offered you? Can you comprehend that great blessing that is yours for the taking? We would have all enter this marvelous light of divine sonship where love is the supreme law, and the gospel is peace. The celestial hosts are bursting with joy and hope that you might accept this invitation to come join with them in the Kingdom of Righteousness.”
We want you to enter Kingdom of Heaven brothers and sisters, right here on earth. No need to wait until you perish in your sins to try to enter; then it will be too late. Remember he said: “Behold, I stand at door and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” I will give him the bread of life and living water which will satisfy his hunger for truth and his thirst for righteousness. Never will his soul go hungry or thirsty again.”
“Brothers and sisters, don’t you desire to have a marvelous character like the Lord Jesus? How many times have you lost control of your self in anger, and have said and done things that you deeply regretted; in the Kingdom you never fear that happening again, for the Spirit will empower you to respond with forbearance, understanding, sympathy, love and mercy, even forgiveness. And brother and sisters all you need to accept this invitation is your faith. Accept divine forgiveness, and come on in and join the happy band of those who follow the Lord Jesus, those who love one another as he loves us. I promise you will be one happy soul.”
“You will go from joy to joy, from rapture to rapture as the living waters of truth constantly bathe your soul. Come in and experience this constant flow of the Father through you. Come on in and rejoice that you have found the Father through the Son. We all are waiting for you in joyous anticipation. Don’t disappoint our hopes and desires that we have for you. But after all is said and done, the choice is yours, but it would please all of us if you would accept the invitation: In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, I welcome you to the kingdom of divine righteousness. And let the congregation say, Amen.’
This concludes today’s message on the invitation to enter the kingdom of heaven. We hope you find something in this message to ponder and pray about as you go about your day.
Until next time, this is Dr. James Perry.
