Greetings and good morning, brothers and sisters. This is Dr. James Perry continuing with our series
where we seek to explore the deeper meanings of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the years,
the heavenly Father has revealed many revelations of spiritual truth to me, and I want to share them
with you. This morning we will ponder our lives as we seek to understand the meaning of the how
to find your true lover.
And now, sit back and listen to today's message.
How to Find Your True Lover
Jesus said: "There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which
he witnesseth of me is true." John, Chapter 5, Verse 32.
Brothers and sisters, are you shackled down by an untrue lover? Are you tired of living with a dead
promise? Is your heart broken from betrayal and deception? Is your spirit crushed from the weight
of lies and insincerity? Would you like to have a lover whom you can trust, and who will be faithful
to you? Has the good will in your love turned into ill will? Does the promise of another day make
you grit your teeth and wonder not only how you will get through another day but if you should even
try? Well if this applies to you, take the advice of the lyricist. Just get on the bus, Gus. Just slip out
the back, Jack. Just leave off the keys, Lee, and get yourself free. Just make new plans, Stan. You do
not need to discuss much. Just get yourself free.
If the cares of a selfish existence has brought you to your knees, and the emptiness of selfishly loving
someone has robbed you of the joy of life, then get on the bus of divine love with its unselfish
interest in others. Ride this bus of truth, and enjoy the beauty of the divine goodness that results from
the consciousness of being sons and daughters of the heavenly Father. Discover the freedom from
self as you become lost in the discovery of divine values and spiritual meanings of the Father's love.
Just slip out the back door of the house of envy and anger. Get out of the uncomfortable seat of
worry and anxiety. Walk on out into the glorious light of the Father's love and the Son's mercy.
Stroll on out on the grass of peace and the foundations of faith. Faith will keep your feet on the solid
ground of divine righteousness as you leave behind a cruel, selfish life. Just leave off the keys of
heartbreak and disappointment.
Do not worry about locking the door of jealousy. Just leave it be. Just leave off the keys of pain and
sorrow. Leave off the keys of doubt and unbelief. Get rid of this dead weight. Lighten your load by
accepting His load, "for his yoke is easy, and his burden is light." By faith, acquire the keys to the
kingdom. Open the door and come on in. Jesus Christ and all the heavenly hosts are in the reception
room of joy and righteousness waiting for you. Just throw off the ball and chain of moral slavery and
set yourself free.
Make new plans. Do something different. Have a change of heart. Stop pursuing the selfish material
life as your supreme goal. Stop following your own will. Nothing good can come out of following
your will, while nothing but good can result from the whole hearted desire to do the Father's
will. Abandon the plans of short sightedness, the ways of lasting pain, unending sorrow, and endless
disappointment. Make a mad dash to execute the plans of perfection that lead to lasting pleasure,
unending happiness, and endless success.
Make plans to find those loveless souls who are buried in the darkness of evil and sin. Make plans
to know and understand them. Make plans to be patient with them. Make plans to be merciful to
them. Make plans to forgive them for their insults and cruelty as you minister to their spiritual
needs. But most of all, make plans to love them. Shine the light of the Father's love in the heart of
their darkness. Let it spread like a drop of ink that diffuses from the center of a liquid to cover the
entire liquid, let the brilliant light of the marvelous love of the Father softly spread to cover their
entire souls.
Just get yourself up. You don’t need to discuss much. Do not argue over the pros and cons of
prayer. Be bold and act quickly. Do not wait, for there’s no need. You waited too long already. Get
on in your secret closet; fall on your knees, and talk to Jesus. Listen while he tells you of his
faithfulness. Listen while he promises never to disappoint you. Listen while he promises never to
leave you alone, no matter what happens to you. Listen while he promises to protect your soul from
all harm and danger. Listen while he allays your fears. Just bask in the radiant embrace of his endless
love and rejoice in the knowledge that you have found your true lover.
This concludes today's message on understanding the meaning of how to find your true lover. We
hope you find something in this message to ponder and pray about as you go about your day. Until
next time, this is Dr. James Perry.
