Greetings and good morning brothers and sisters. This is Dr. James Perry continuing with our series where we seek to explore the deeper meanings of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the years, the heavenly Father has revealed many revelations of spiritual truth to me, and I want to share them with you. This morning we will ponder our lives as we seek to penetrate the meaning of a letter that was inspired by the Spirit of Truth..
And now, sit back and listen to today's message.
A Letter from Jesus
“A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench till he send forth judgement unto victory." Isaiah, Chapter 12, Verse 20.
Brothers and sisters, in today’s broadcast, we shall share a letter that was inspired by the Spirit of Jesus, the Spirit of Truth. Often times when we pray, we seldom pray exclusively for others. Almost always are our prayers a mixture of praying for ourselves as well as others. Not often do we hear from Jesus in a form that we recognize. If you have ever been a moral and spiritual prisoner chained to the walls of sorrow and bitter disappointment, you will appreciate this letter. And now without further introduction, we share this inspired letter.
Dear Son,
Peace and grace be unto you. And now out of your conviction write: “You have come a long ways, my son, but you still have further to go. You have overcome much, but there remains much more to overcome. You must cease to be preoccupied with the regrets of the past. The past along with its potential for achievement has past forever. You must cease vainly hoping for the future. The future belongs to our Father. And you must cease to whine over the present. The present belongs to you. Live in it with the fullness of life, bravely and courageously, knowing fully well that no real harm can come near your soul. The time has come for you to remove your mind from yourself. You must only concern yourself with your sisters and brothers who are walking by a dim light."
"Say to your sisters and brothers who have become bogged down in the quick sand of selfishness; say to them who have compounded error upon error; say to them who have allowed pride to nail them in a coffin of darkness that I have heard their cry for help, and that I will deliver them from their chains of confusion, and their self created prisons of unbelief. Tell them of my love for them, and tell them I have forgiven them for they are precious in my sight. Also tell them that even in their darkness, our Father and I have been with them waiting in love, patience, mercy, and forgiveness. Tell them not to worry, that everything will work out for their eternal good. And son, tell them that I am their Father, and that they are my sons and daughters."
"Say to your sisters and brothers who were betrayed by the false teachers of darkness with their false light that I have not forgotten the circumstances of their fall from grace. Tell them that I am mindful of the revulsion that they experienced when they realized what had been done to them. Tell them that I am aware of their flight into the darkness of distrust and selfishness that they took as a reaction to their painful betrayal. Tell them I am aware of the mind disrupting and soul destroying consequences of this experience. Say to them, that even now my mercy has found them, and that my love will sustain them as I deliver them into the true light by the power of my love. Tell them to enter the Spirit of Truth, and they need never fear that sort of thing happening again, for this spirit will always speak at such times, saying, “This is the way.” This spirit will make them experts on the untrue and the unfaithful. Tell them that our Father's spirit that lives in their minds is the source of all that is true, beautiful, and good."
"Say to your sisters and brothers who have suffered much on my account that I am mindful of their efforts to love those who have taken unfair advantage of their trusting natures. Tell them to keep on loving, then to keep on loving, and still to keep on loving. Tell them, their efforts are not in vain. A planted seed does not come up overnight, and neither does a plant spring up if no seed is planted. Tell them that I know of their horrors, and the pain that threatens to destroy them. Tell them that I will mend their broken hearts, and give them better dreams, dreams beyond their wildest imagination, and they will all come true, for truly eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor mind conceived of the things that await those who do my Father’s will. Tell them that my love will drive the terror and horror from their minds and souls. Tell them, I will give them joy in the place of pain, and peace in the place of turmoil. And my son, tell them to just trust me, they will understand the wisdom of love better after awhile, but for the time being to accept by faith that they are heading in the right direction, the direction of love; our Father is love."
"Tell my sisters and brothers that I am aware of their deep insecurities. Tell them that I am mindful of the circumstances of their development and existence. Tell them that I know the handicaps that they are laboring under. Say to them: Be of good cheer, for all things work together for good for those who love God. Further tell tell them that all power in heaven and earth has been placed in my hands. But also say to them that the rule of love, patience, mercy, and forgiveness, as well as the rule of wisdom must condition the use of power. Tell them of my love for them, and of their value to me. And further my son: Say to all sisters and brothers who walk by a dim light that the solution to the problem of walking by a dim light is to ask for more light. Ask and you shall receive."
In Truth and Love,
The Spirit of Truth
